Hello guys! Today I want to write about traditional game in Malaysia. Traditional games were enjoyed in the past and we hope to be able to revive them.

Gasing Uri
The gasing uri or giant top popular in Terengganu and Kelantan, weighs approximately 5 kg. the wooden tops are the size of a dinner plate and a player has to strike his opponent’s spinning top out of the game.

This is we call Gasing Uri.

Sepak Raga

This game is usually played among six and 12 players in a circle. One player will start by throwing a rattan ball to another participant who stands opposite. The receiver can either kick or butt the ball with his lead or chest several times. Then the ball is passed to another player. The rule to avoid letting the ball hit the ground.

This is example the player play sepak raga.

Galah Panjang

In this typical tag game, the players are divided into two groups with a leader each. The tag leader usually starts by slapping the hand of his opponent. Taggers can only move horizontally on the given lines while the leader only moves vertically each player has to get past the divided areas guarded by his opponent without getting tagged. The game requires swiftness of movement.

HOW TO COOK MARIE FUDGE CAKE A.K.A KEK BATIK

Today I would like to share how to make kek batik. Its easy to make, not need to bake at all.

Ingredients

100g (3/4 cup) milo *
25g (1/4 cup) cocoa powder *
125ml (1/2 cup) boiling water
190g (3/4 cup) butter, cut into large chunks
200g (1/2 tin) sweetened condensed milk
110g (1/2 cup) white granulated sugar
5 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
250g (1 packet) Marie biscuits

* You may adjust the amount of milo and cocoa powder to your taste, for example 1/2 cup milo and 1/2 cup cocoa powder.

1. Roughly break each biscuits into quarters, set aside. Line the base and two long sides of a 23cm x 9cm x 7cm deep loaf tin (or other loaf tin with a capacity of at least 5 cups or 1.25L) with baking paper, lightly grease the inside of the tin so the paper sticks to the tin, extending paper 2-3cm above edge of tin. Grease or line both short sides with a small piece of baking paper.

Slowly add boiling water to milo and cocoa in a saucepan, stirring vigorously until it is smooth. Add butter, sweetened condensed milk, sugar, lightly beaten eggs and vanilla to the saucepan.
3. Place over moderate heat and cook, stirring all the time with a whisk or a spoon, until you feel the bottom starts to thicken, about 5 minutes.

4. Turn heat down to low, and continue to cook, stirring without stopping, for about another 20 minutes, or until a thick custard forms.

5.Transfer the thick custard to a large mixing bowl, add quartered biscuits. Mix until all the biscuits are coated with the custard.

6. Transfer mixture to the prepared tin. Press down firmly so there are no air pockets in the mixture. Bang the tin on the bench a couple of times to settle the mixture, fold the paper extensions over the top and press down to even the surface. Then let cool to the touch.

So this is our Marie Fudge Cake

The day before Eid, all of us were busy at kitchen especially my grandma. My grandma and my sister was ‘menganyam ketupat’ on that evening. Me? I was busy in the kitchen at that time and there was a lot of things I have to do like blend the garlic, union, chili and so on. On that night, we started to cook ‘rendang’. Then we tied up the living room and some place in the house.

At first Eid morning, we wake early. After we prayer, we wear ‘baju raya’ clothes. My grandfather, my grandmother,  my father, my uncle and my cousin goes to mosque to prayer. Me with my mom, and my aunt stay at home while we prepare food such as ‘ketupat’, ’rendang’ and lemang’. After they arrive at home, we do some recite prayer’s. Then we apologize one another. Then the climax part is  we waiting for to got a  ‘duit raya’ and I got duit raya too. After  that we go to eat. After eat we going to neighbour house. At afternoon we going back home because too many guest come visited. It was so tired because so many people come.

MY LAST SPORT DAY AT SCHOOL 2012

Tonight, suddenly I was recall about my sport day at school last year. It was my last sport day at  secondary school. I unit uniform is ‘Puteri Islam’. So as senior, I have to enter ‘kawad’. When our first practice time, my teachers choose me to be commander. But I don’t accept that because I don’t want, so I order my junior to be commander and I have to guide her. So far so good, she commands the group and I proud of her.

My sport day in March 2012, I don’t remember the exactly date. The venue was at Mini Stadium Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. That place was very near from my school. At the morning I’m straight away go to Mini Stadium Bukit Jalil.

Before the opening, we gather together, and then make a line. There are one teacher gave order, and then we go out with one group. Basically our performer was okay. The most part that I don’t like is stand at middle field and have to hear our principal gave a speech, because at field it’s hot. Our sport day finish at 1.30. I just got one silver medal that day.

I was hold 'Puteri Islam' flag.

                                                                  With my bestfriend.

Make some practise to make perfect.
